After graduating from the Pasadena Art Center College of Design in illustration, painter Carly Castillon began sweeping the art world as a highly talented fine artist. Castillon has been featured in four major shows at Fallbrook Fine Art in the Arts District of the village of Fallbrook California. She has shown her work in the OPA at Lee Youngman's Gallery in Calsitoga and her painting "Planting of the First Pepper Tree" was chosen as the cover image in 2006. Castillon was also highlighted as a rising star in Art Talk's May 2007 issue where she was noted for her heartfelt compositions. A confident landscape painter, Castillon was commissioned to complete 17 large landscapes of San Diego landmarks for a professional complex in Carlsbad. Her most recent portrait was commissioned by John Grisham of his relative, C.S. Lewis.

Castillon is a versatile young artist and is accomplished at landscapes and figurative work. To refine her technique she has taken workshops with Morgan Weistling, Matt Smith, and Skip Whitcomb.

Currently she is doing research for a body of work that depicts the varied history of California: Native Americans, Spanish explorers, and settlers and pioneers from the Eastern states. Historic settings include California's famous missions and land grant ranches.

Her art can be seen at
